The HR G.E.Ms (Great.Excellent.Minds) Coaches Network is a registered Non Governmental Organization (NGO) with Corporate Affairs Commision, Nigeria. It offers a SAFE LEARNING platform for professionals, majorly in Human Resources by offering them a community of like-minds to build their knowledge of Human Psychology & Coaching to optimize human ingenuity, that enables them make positive impact in their respective profession. We achieve this through self-transformational tools, techniques, models and strategies such as coaching etc. Our platform offers developmental opportunities to build professional coaching careers by giving and receiving coaching practices, that allow members to develop professional coaching skills. We are focused on building core coaching skills and mindset that will empower our members to be professional coaches. It is not a coaching certification platform, it is a network of professional HR aspiring to learn professional coaching as a tool to transform themselves & their world to make meaningful impact. They eventually grow and become certified coaches.
A brief history about us too - A brief history of this group; so we are all up to date as regards how we came together. On the 23rd of June, 2018, 11 HR professionals with like-minds teamed up to collaborate with Coach Lara to anchor the Career session of The GEM Woman Magazine Fair held in Lagos where she was invited as a speaker to anchor their career session. She had earlier called for volunteers from an HR group called HR Nigeria group (Now HR Zone) and 11 HR professionals volunteered to join her at the event. The impact was massive so much that after the event, they decided to retain the whatzapp group for further collaboration activities for impact. They knew they were a formadable force with a strong bond and everyone shouldn't be left to go. A few months afterwards, a beautiful member Taiwo Dayo-Abatan inspired to take the group to the next level when she invited the group members to her HR HUB event for a speed coaching session in November 2018. We saw the power of collaboration of great minds that day again. Officially, 1st January 2019, The HR GEM COACHING GROUP came ALIVE with a clear vision and mission!!! There after, Tosin Alexandar-Idowu created the acromyn for GEMs - Great.Excellent.Minds which was the name submitted for our registration.
